I am a street photographer in New York City. Several months ago, I was approached by a representative of DKNY who asked to purchase 300 of my photos to hang in their store windows “around the world.” They offered me $15,000. A friend in the industry told me that $50 per photo was not nearly enough to receive from a company with hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue. So I asked for more money. They said “no.”

Today, a fan sent me a photo from a DKNY store in Bangkok. The window is full of my photos. These photos were used without my knowledge, and without compensation.

I don’t want any money. But please REBLOG this post if you think that DKNY should donate $100,000 on my behalf to the YMCA in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. That donation would sure help a lot of deserving kids go to summer camp. I’ll let you guys know if it happens.

Gross behavior DKNY! Make this right.

Not cool.  NOT COOL AT ALL

I came up with an idea for a stand-up bit that Michael Anthony should be the next pope. But I haven’t really done stand-up in an age, and even still it’s probably unusable. So now it’s this.

JE SHIRT COMPANY OFFICIAL BLOG: ANNOUNCEMENT: "A New 'Je' Dawns."

jeshirt:

Dear Friends,

Tuesday night was perhaps the darkest moment of my life.

I called into a popular radio show, The Best Show on WFMU, hosted by my friend Tom Scharpling. It’s a funny, loose talk show and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to plug the shirts and try to raise some…

Jeshirt comes to Jesus.

Oh hey guys, about that book thing… Unfortunately work/life/mysterious health conditions have gotten the best of me, and my previous deadline of having something for purchase at the end of the month is no longer possible.

Well, it is… but I wouldn’t have time to proof it, and I’m not about release this thing  without showing the comedians a hard copy for approval or combing through it to photoshop out stains on pants that look like semen.

In the meantime, I’ve dropped down Volume One’s price to $72. You can also download a 60MB PDF version for $12.

I apologize there’s no official ipad ebook version, Blurb doesn’t play will with my fancy fonts and I refuse to have it all ported into Helvetica. I’m also sorry it’s still pretty pricey. Blurb inexplicably raised their prices this year, so I’m not making much. Enough to buy a McDonalds combo meal.

Volume Two will be out… eventually, but if you want a gift for the comedy nerd in your life in time for the holidays, I’d highly recommend my old book. It has all your favorites. Amy Poehler, David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Scott Aukerman, Reggie Watts, Paul F. Tompkins, Conan O’Brien and more!

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE PURCHASED THE BOOK ALREADY.

BUUUUUUUY. You can see my and wife’s face next to famous people.
